This was our first message to address the gun issue. It was prompted by the heated debate surrounding gun safety after US postal worker Patrick Henry Sherrill shot twenty co-workers, killed fourteen of them, and then committed suicide. At the time, it was the third worst single-gunman mass shooting in US history and is credited with creating the phrase "going postal". Although the ad doesn't speak to the actual event, at the time, it was a brave move for the brand to even reference this polarizing issue.
