In December, 1988, "The Godfather of Soul" James Brown was sentenced to six years and six months in prison on charges of failing to stop for a police officer and aggravated assault. A few months later in 1989, our Keyhole shoe was released and this pop-culture reference was too hard to resist. (Mr. Brown was released 3 years later.)
