Spring 2020
During the Black Lives Matter uprising in 2020, we were advised to board up our Bond & Bowery store windows in NYC. We still wanted to show our support for the movement, so we wrote a message of solidarity for racial equality and encouraged others to add theirs. Soon, the boards were covered in a social commentary of writing, tags, and artwork, including pieces by the renowned artists Sir Shadow and SacSix. It was such a powerful expression of our conscious community, the boards were later displayed in our corporate headquarters as a reminder of the positive impact creative freedom can have on us all.
